Collaboration v. Self-Sabotage

Collaboration v. Self-Sabotage

Hi, I'm Jess, remember me?

Once again, I have fallen off the blog-wagon. Please forgive me.  Lots of learning is happening here, and one of the things that I learned about myself is I do this thing called, "self-sabotage," ya heard of it? Let's just say it COULD be the cause of my absence(s), and I am here to reclaim my place in the blog, on social media, and in real life.

I think I have found the antidote to self-sabotage and I'm here to let you in on it.  If you couldn't tell by the title of this post, the antidote is: Collaboration.

Collaboration does all of the things that I think are vital to conquering self sabotage.  First-it gets you connected.  When you are connected to a community of like-minded people, or even just one like-minded person, there is a level of accountability there.  You have to show up and do your part, otherwise the collaboration doesn't work. It kicks your butt into gear and suddenly you have a very tangible reason for needing to complete a project.

Collaboration is gonna help you grow your "do it" muscle.  When you are alongside someone else who is "doing it"--in other words, they have reached a certain level of success,--your star is gonna rise too, baby!  They say we are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.  This can apply to any endeavor from changing a habit to rising to the top position of a major company.  If you see someone who is doing the thing that you wanna do-THAT is who you wanna collaborate with.

This summer I have grown from one strong business relationship to expanding that to 3 beautiful endeavors with some beautiful souls.  My next three posts are going to be introducing you to the businesses that have been so gracious as to lift me up with them.  I can't wait for you to meet them.

I want to encourage you to assess your goals, audit your inner circle, and cozy up to the people who lift you up.  You are so worth it.

Much love,

Jess
